Whale Watching Season is open from January 15th to March 15th EACH YEAR but due to conservation and protection rights for these amazing Humpback Whales, there are only a number of limited spaces each year.

This means only a limited number of visitors each year may go and watch these spectacular Humpback Whales in their natural habitat as the whales come here to breed and calf every year.

This is why The Real DR Excursion department is proud to offer pre-bookable seats on this fascinating and once in a lifetime tour. Even though the 2008 season is over PRE-BOOK now for 2009 to avoid disappointment.

The day starts early as we want you to have as much time as possible in Samana and have plenty of time to enjoy the awesome spectacle of the Whales in the water. This is a great day for photographic opportunities as over 10,000 Humpback Whales visit the waters of the Silver Banks every year and you may well catch one of these beauties turning tail and breaching out of the water! Just as amazing is the eerie sound of the male Humpbacks singing their solitary songs! With an excellent English speaking guide who will inform you of all of their habits, feeding, breeding and playful things the Humpbacks get up to, you will discover first hand every thing you have ever needed to know!

and soft drinks are included in the early part of this excursion, however after having been Whale Watching for a couple of hours you will have built up an appetite and also be wanting the chance to relax and talk about what you have just seen.

Get ready for Bacardi Island, a little slice of paradise not to far away where you will be taken for lunch. Beautiful beaches, swaying palm trees and time for a dip all make for a perfect pit stop before returning home after one of the most astounding excursions of your life.
