North Coast Samana and National Park Los Haitises

Fantastic day out - thank you to everyone especially our brilliant guide, Juan. The scenery is stunning and spectacular on this excursion. We did not mind the early pick up at all. Plenty of time for a snooze on the coach before arriving in one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been in my entire life. Jungle, flowers tropical abundance of greenery, totally just totally amazing. Loved the mangrove swamps too and the boat ride was just hilarious! Beaches seen and walked on felt quite Robinson Crusoe and I could imagine living here for ever! Wish I had brought my hat (and I know top tips tell you too!). I guess I am just a little overawed at how beautiful the Caribbean really is. The water was clearer than my imagination believed. A lovely contrast of a day from cooling jungle, flowers and fauna to tropical beaches with swaying palm trees. The national park is an inspriation and I read up more about it when I got home. Good for the Dominican Republic for having these protected areas. We thought this was the best day of our vacation and enjoyed every part of this trip.
