North Coast Big Game Fishing

I have to admit, I was sceptical about fishing in the Dominican Republic after enjoying game fishing throughout the Caribbean I thought that the seas off Playa Dorada couldn't compete and it would be a waste of time - HOW WRONG COULD I BE!

From start to finish both myself and my son had a fantastic days sport fishing while my wife enjoyed the sun and several "sips" of rum. Barry was a great source of local fishing information and after only 1 hour my son had a Wahoo and I had lost a marlin (the one that got away...honestly!). Maybe it was luck, however others on the boat were also getting some serious attention from the fish. I can only put this down to the Captains (never did catch his name) and Barrys knowledge on where to fish. Great boat, great equipment and great crew !

The sea was a bit choppy at times, but not enough to cause problems.....

All in all we had a superb day out and I'll be sending in the photos of the White Marlins both myself and my son caught. Many thanks & we'll be back :-)
