Dominican City and Fiesta Tour

This is a wonderful excursion that begins in the early afternoon so you'll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy a leisurely morning, but be sure to have a good lunch before the bus collects you from your hotel. You'll be given a warm welcome by your guide as you board the Fiesta 151 bus and before you know it you'll have an ice cold cocktail in your hand as you settle back ready to hit the road on an adventure through the streets of downtown Puerto Plata. Your guides are well known for being passionate about their culture, they love what they do and so they will take great pride in passing on interesting information in a fun and very entertaining way. You'll be given all sorts of insights into urban Dominican life in the city of Puerto Plata (which means Silver Port) first discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1503. The city was originally a thriving trading port before eventually turning into a smugglers den once frequented by the Pirates of the Caribbean back in the day. As the sun begins to go down, you'll make your way to the Fiesta 151 ranch where you'll be given a warm Dominican welcome by the staff there. A delicious 4 course meal awaits you along with a free flowing open bar. The girls will entertain you with folkloric dances and you'll have the opportunity to learn about cultural music such as Merengue and play local instruments which is great fun. As the night draws in the rum takes hold and your inhibitions slowly melt away, we guaratntee your feet will start tapping and before you know it you'll be dancing away like a local and without a care in the world. • Bring some money with you for shopping both Dominican Pesos and U$ Dollars can be used but pesos are more widely accepted in the city

IMPORTANT: Notice to Passengers from Bahia Principe & Rio San Juan: There is a $10 per person transportation charge that is to be paid directly to your guide on collection from your hotel/accommodation. This applies to both adults and children. There is no charge for infants (2 years and under). This is due to the additional travelling time required and this is not included in the sales price indicated for this excursion.
