Altos de ChavonIf ever you get the opportunity to see a concert at Altos de Chavon in the Dominican Republic, do us a favour and move heaven and earth to get there. Construction at Altos de Chavon began back in 1976 when the imagination of a Paramounts Studios set designer Roberto Copa and Austrian born American industrialist Charles Bluhdorn ran riot to create a beautiful artisan village within the grounds of Casa de Campo in La Romana, one of the Caribbean's foremost playgrounds for the rich and famous. At the heart of this magnificent creation lies a 5,000 seat Roman style amphitheater which over the years has attracted some of the world's finest performers. Watch in awe as you see Altos de Cavon transform before your eyes into one of the most awesome and yet personal concert venues in the world. The following video shows the build up and performance of Sting in concert at Altos de Chavon in the Dominican Republic last year in 2011. Always check in with TheRealDR for news and updates regarding upcoming concerts in Altos de Chavon, we guarantee you won't regret it.

Dominican people take their politics seriously and it is anticipated that viewing figures could exceed more than 31 million across Latin America and The Untied States as Danilo Medina who is leader of the ruling PRD party, and Hipolito Mejia leader of the PLD debate each other and make clear their plans for the future of The Dominican Republic. The debate will be televised by Grupo de Comunicaciones Corripio in conjunction with CNN en Espanol and hosted by both a local moderator and a CNN moderator on Channel 2, Channel 11, Channel 37, TeleAntillas, and CDN available through cable TV.
