Tropical Storm Danielle has become a category 2 hurricane and continues to strengthen quickly, moving west / northwest, and is now located about 2000 kilometers of the Lesser Antilles. It is moving at about 20 mph with maximum sustained winds of 100mph. The trajectory models indicate that this storm will steer it way to the north to affect Dominican territory.

This Tuesday, the weather will present very few changes here in the DR. The morning will start fresh with little cloud cover but with the temperatures rising rapidly the mid-day sun will feel very hot once more. This in turn will trigger afternoon thunderstorms, some heavy at times especially around coastal areas.

Tuesdays highs are expected to reach a sticky 33ºC in some areas while the evening lows will be around the 22-24ºC mark
