Saturday will start partly cloudy over most of the Dominican Republic which should clear up a little by lunchtime, but as is the norm for this time of year, scattered thunderstorms and rain showers will increase during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will be hovering arounf the 28-30ºC during the day and drop to lows of 22-24ºC in the evening.
ONAMET is still maintaining a warning against flash floods and landslides to residents in low lying areas near rivers, streams and creeks in the province of Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Duarte (especially the lower Yuna), La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, The Seibo, La Romana, San Pedro de Macoris, Monte Plata, Santo Domingo and the National District and maintains the alert against flash floods and landslides to residents in low lying areas near rivers, streams and creeks in the provinces of Samaná, Sanchez Ramirez, Santiago, Espaillat, San Cristobal, Peravia, San José de Ocoa, Barahona, San Juan, La Vega and Monsignor Nouel.
