The start to the new week will see an increase in shower and thunderstorm activity over much of the Dominacan Republic during the next 24 to 48 hours with the greatest intensity affecting the northeast, southeast, central corridor and border areas. The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET), continues to monitor an area of low pressure located about 1600 miles east-northeast of the Lesser Antilles. This system has a 70% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone as it moves west-northwestward at 15mph.
Mondays highs will hover around the 32ºC mark over many areas of the country with evening lows dropping to around 24-26ºC
