Well apart from the obvious which would be booking your vacation for this year to the Dominican Republic, why not try something really different and make 2008 the year to learn a new hobby or try something exciting that you wouldn’t ordinarily do? Full of tropical fish and corals it’s an eye boggling opportunity just waiting for you to view for yourselves.
The Dominican Republic offers great eco tours from white water rafting, mountain biking through rain forests, cannoning and repelling for the serious extreme adrenalin seekers.
Why not have a go at learning to wind surf or kite board up on the north coasts surfing town Mecca of Cabarete. The beach front is lined up with schools offering fiercely competitive rates for custom built courses.
