After a spectacular week of totally tropical weather, the thunder clouds and storms rolling up on Friday evening brought a welcome break to everyone on the island. If you have just arrived in the Dominican Republic then you're in for a hot weekend so get ready, get your sun tan cream out and try and find some shade as by Saturday lunchtime you'll be smothering ice cream all over your burnie bits!The weather reporters at the realdr newsroom have all planned a watery weekend, which consists of mainly gathering around various favourite watering holes like a family of hippos to enjoy their favourite green water otherwise known as the famous Presidente Beer.
A great weekend to get out and about to discover life outside those resort gates, so if you haven't yet go and book yourself on a fantastic jeep safari or take a tour on the ocean, what ever tickles your fancy there's plenty to choose from and perfect weather this weekend to maiximise your enjoyment!
Saturday and Sunday will have highs of 93F and lows of 77F in the evening, a smattering of showers to cool off under but mainly sun, sun and more sun!
