As of 5pm EST Hurricane Tomas information;

Tomas is located some 90 miles east of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, 70 miles southwest of Gran Inagua Island, Bahamas. Tomas is producing winds of 75mph and is travelling in a northeast direction at 14mph.

There is still a Hurricane Warning still in place for Haiti.

Tropical Storm warning for North Coast of Hispaniola, Haitian Border to Puerto Plata and from Haitian Border to Barahona on South Coast of Hispaniola.

Thomas is capable of producing 5-10 inches of rainfall over the Dominican Republic over the coming 48 hours. These rains could cause life threatening flash floods or mud slides over remote, mountainous terrain.
