Tropical Storm Tomas has been upgraded to Hurricane Tomas in the last hour by NOAA and The Weather Channel. Currently moving through the Windward Islands, Tomas in a Category 1 Hurricane with winds of 75mph. Experts from NOAA still believe the Hurricane will track close to the Dominican Republic "mid to late week" (tuesday-friday).

Hurricane warnings are in effect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, and Martinique, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and Dominica.
