Tropical Storm Richard has appeared in the Southern Caribbean Sea between Jamaica and Central America. Experts from NOAA predict the storm poses no danger to the Dominican Republic.
Elsewhere in the Atlantic, a broad area of low pressure located some 350km southeast of Cape Verde is being monitored for development, however, there is just a 10% chance of this system becoming a tropical cyclone over the next 48 hours.
