The U.S. government has requested the seizure of several assets which are thought to be held by seven Dominican Nationals on behalf of Alejandro Guzman Martinez. Martinez is currently in U.S. custody charged with drug trafficking. The assets under threat of seizure include a Texaco gas station, several motels, a rent a car company and a night club. The seven in question appear to be, despite their age, very independently wealthy. The amount in question translates to over 10 million dollars.
