It only took Donald Trump four hours to practically sell out his new Cap Cana project.

He sold 64 of the 68 lots at Farallon Trump at Cap Cana for a total value of close to US$300 million. Prices started at US$3 million. Buyers came from all over - 35% from the Dominican Republic, 30% from the United States and Puerto Rico and 30% from Venezuela, Spain and several other Latin American countries.

Even 'The Donald' was surprised at the speed with which the lots sold but commented that he was going to continue investing in the Dominican Republic  praising the country's good business climate and support of foreign investment.

He also commented that he would be inviting former U.S. President Bill Clinton to invest in his project. Clinton is rumoured to have bought a property in nearby Punta Cana.

In other Trump news, the real estate mogul is said to be considering holding the Miss Universe competition in Cap Cana stating that it was an ideal location for this type of event.

He will also learn Spanish.
