We are still expecting more showers and thunderstorms for the next twenty four hours, but it looks like the tropical disturbance that has so far caused major flooding and loss of lives through out the Dominican Republic is finally shifting position as it blows northwestwards out of here. Reports from our weather people from Puerto Plata to Punta Cana have sent in news that the rain has at least stopped for the time being, clouding and showers are imminent for later on, however the strong down pours experienced over the last thrity six hours have ceased.
