Unigold Inc at work in the Dominican RepublicUnigold Inc. the Canadian public owned company has announced the discovery of a new gold zone in the south western region of Los Candelones which is near to Santiago in the Dominican Republic.  The new gold zone has been traced in an east west direction over a 1800 meter strike length by gold in soil anomalies.  The peak gold in soil anomaly is 2.9 grams per ton Au, coincident with Candelones Suroeste. Unigold have confirmed that ‘grab samples’ from a several hundred square meter area have found that the 2.9g/t gold anomaly is graded at their site up to 4.5 grams per ton (g/t) gold from barite bearing and argilic altered rocks.
