The wonderful and charismatic resort of Cabarete is proud to announce that it will host the KPWT 2009 Official World Championship Kiteboarding Tour. The event runs from the 9^th to the 12^th of July with a prize of 15,000 Euros going to the winner of the freestyle event. The World Cup will take place at Playa Punta Goleta which is located on the main road after Sosua and just before Cabarete. This event will also host a variety of cultural activities plus the national skateboard championship and a 5 day music festival.
