That's A Whole Lot of Cane For Dominican Ethanol Plant

Brazilian Industrialists have announced that they will construct an Ethanol plant in the Dom Rep with a first stage of investment of a staggering US$80 million. 

 

Infinity Bio Energy had a meeting with Dominican President Fernandez and according to Sergio Thompson and Omar Bron top dogs from the energy company said that the project would commence within 60 days at the mill in Boca Chica on the southeast coast. 

The investment for the second phase will then be raised to US$120 million. CDD Company will install a plant which will produce biofuel, an energy source produced from sugar cane. 

 

Press Office release from the President said that the project anticipates milling up to 2.5 million tons of cane during it’s first stage, the structure is to include an ethanol unit, a dehydrator and a storage system along with tanks. 

 

Sergio Thompson added for this type of investment the engineering transformations will be progressively applied.
