Port Au Price, Haiti - Haitian Wismond Exantus Jean-Pierre, 24 years of age, was found on Saturday after 12 days buried beneath the wreckage of a hotel and food store in the country's capital. His brother had heard him tapping beneath the rubble, and tapped back. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery. He is reported to have told reporters that in his head he said to God, 'If you save me, I will be your servant. I will glorify your name'. He cannot really recall how long he had been under the rubble for - he thought it may have been about 4 or 5 days, but in fact it turned out to be 12. There were others trapped near him, including the owner of the hotel, one of his sons and a cousin. There were also two women on the first floor, one doing the cooking and the other doing the laundry but after the earthquake and subsequent collapse of the building, he could hear noises, but after a while it stopped. He tried to call to the people who were there, but none replied, and he oculd not tell whether they were alive or not.
All the time he spent under the rubble, he had a splitting headache and felt stiff, but as soon as he was rescued the doctors gave him some medicine and treatment and Wismond has told reporters that "Now I feel great."
