Spain to build luxury Spa in Dominican Republic

relaxing spa massage in Dominican RepublicDominican Republic Tourism Minister, Felix Jimenez has announced, the country is to build one of the world's largest thermal spa's to be introduced by the Spanish company "Salamandra Thermals Trade Corporation".   The spa is to be built in Canoa a small town in the region of Barahona in the DR.  The plans are set out over 7 years and include a five-star hotel with 1,000 rooms, sports facilities and a conference center.  The project's budget is around US$769 million.  Jimenez has signed a protocol renting around 1.45 million square meters on the Canoa's seafront for 99 years to build the hotel complex.
