We've all seen strange things on the roads in the Dominican Republic but sightings of a motorized bed cruising the road between Santiago and Baitoa may just take the prize.

Apparently somewhere before the Cibao cement plant in Palo Amarillo township, a 'cama car' was sighted by some shocked motorists. After asking the driver what he was doing, he replied that after being thrown out of his house he had outfitted his bed, including a bedpan and lights, and has been wandering the roads ever since. He also said he had made three more 'cama cars'.

But here at The Real DR we're just wondering if it isn't a case of a wee bit too much Brugal! Pink elephants must be in short supply!
