Shell will name 50% buyer in Dominican Refinery by August 7th

Shell LogoOn the 7th of this month Shell will reveal to the Dominican Government the company it has chosen to sell its shares too in the Dominican Petroleum Refinery other wise known as Refidomsa. Local Shell representative Rafael Maradiaga has told the official commission that it had yet to reach an agreement with any of the four groups that are interested in purchasing the business.

Shell owns 50% of Refidomsa's shares and the State of the Dominican Republic owns the other 50%. Maradiaga has said to the National Dominican Newspaper, Diario Libre that within the confines of a confidentiality agreement he cannot reveal the names or amounts that the four competing companies have offered for the fifty percent share.
