Dominican Republic School KidsSchool is now back in session in the Dominican Republic, however less children/students have registered for this years academic season.  Around 395,069 students in total since 2004, have now graduated from High School after passing the National Exam's competency requirements, according to Education Minister Alejandrina German, and that is what substanciates the drop in numbers she said.

She continued to stay that school registries show that although registration figures are down, other figures constitute the largest number of students to conclude their 4 year mid level studies since the education evaluation subsystem commenced in 1993.  The official also said that this number will rise again this year when the third National Exams start in November.

Good news as well for the general overall graduation rate which shows an advance in the quality of high schoolers who continue on to higher education.  Compared with the graduate rate in 2001 which then was 81.8% to the current rate of 85.2% now.
