With city tourism now the popular trend with travellers, the "Santo Domingo Cluster" plan was launched Friday with the aim of making Santo Domingo more competitive within this tourism market.
Announced at the New Vision and Strategy for Tourism Competitiveness for the City of Santo Domingo conference on Friday, the plan is driven by the efforts of the National District City Council, the Tourism and Culture Ministries, the Hotel and Restaurant Association and the National Competitiveness Council, among others.
National District Mayor Roberto Salcedo affirmed that the city has a lot of potential to take advantage of this growing market in tourism. The plan focuses on finding ways to impress and attract tourists, getting them to come to the city and having them stay longer.
