Santo Domingo the capital of the Dominican Republic is still one of the cheapest cities to live and reside in the whole of Latin America, despite complaints from people living in the city at the high cost of living and day to day expenses.

Mercer Human Resource Consulting have recently carried out a study and disclosed their findings yesterday in Mexico, it also coincides with another poll of the world’s capitals which found that Moscow is the world’s priciest where as New York City didn’t even come in the top to!

In Latin America the most expensive city to reside in is Brazil’s capital city of San Paulo and the cheapest place to live is Asuncion in Paraguay.

Just to let you know where the old DR stands in ranking, Santo Domingo is just point below Caracus in Venezuela as being less expensive however we are pricier than San Jose in Costa Rica!
