Regarding flights and such coming into and out of the Dominican Republic, Dominican Airports (Aerodom) Operations Department said flights have already resumed from the United States, Panama, Venezuela and Colombia, flights coming from Cuba are still on hold awaiting Hurricane Dean to pass by.
American Airlines are now dealing with a back log of commuters who were not able to fly yesterday and are now trying to board flights today instead. As a general rule of advice from the Airport Authorities, they are telling passengers to arrive at least 3 hours before their flights schedule, to avoid possible delays as all reservations due to being cancelled over last few days, NOW have to be re-checked.




Santo Domingo the capital of the Dominican Republic commenced today the massive clean up operation in wake of Hurricane Deans visit. All along the entire south shore work crews from the National District and the local Santo Domingo Council began shifting rocks and debris from the road front and Malecon. Alot of sand has found its way to the walkways and roads, due to the massively strong winds and water surges brought on by Hurricane Dean.
