albert-pujolsDominican baseball player Albert Pujols hit the 400th homer of his career last night, but that did not stop the St. Louis Cardinals losing 11-10 to the Washington Nationals in a game settled in just 13 innings.

The first baseman hit his 400th homer in just ten years in the majors, which gives him an average of 40 per season and has become the 47th major league hitter to reach that milestone.

The slugger for the St. Louis Cardinals opened the fourth inning against the Washington Nationals and found pitcher Jordan Zimmermans line sending the ball into the stands between right field and center field.

Pujols is the third-youngest hitter to reach 400 home runs.
