He told reporters that increasing fuel prices is an abuse of power and injustice, because it means more weight on the population´s shoulders and a burden of 77 billion pesos deficit caused by the current PLD government.

The former presidential candidate of the opposition party said that "the increases in fuel prices will raise the cost of living, more unemployment, more poverty and more violence and crime." He indicated that increases in fuel and the elimination of exemptions reduces the competitiveness of productive sectors.
