The American based newspaper the Washing Times is spending time in the Dominican Republic. It has sent over a team of journalists and executives as part of a new programme to cover specific topics in developing countries around the world.
Meeting with Dominican government officials, Zena Polin and Jaime Cardona from the Washington Times will be in the country to discuss aspects of business, governance and social issues.
Topics on the agenda will range from tourism to the "fascination and foibles of doing business here."
The Washington Times has held a strong presence in Latin America for some time and holds permanent offices in Puerto Rico is hoping to expand its readership and presence in the region, due to the heightened interest of Americans wishing to explore or invest in the Dominican Republic.
