Predicting a winner?
Germany - Ok, this is not an April Fools joke, well we are in July!!Paul is his name, being a psychic is his game...and that game funnily enough, is, yep you guessed it....football! Paul isn´t your regular run of the house psychic either...he is in fact an octupus.
Paul, the psychic cephalopod, lives at Sea Life in Oberhausen in western Germany and so far has shocked many a football fan into his psychic abilities. So far in this World Cup, Paul has correctly predicted the visitors in all of Germany´s 6 matches and Germany´s loss to Spain yesterday added agony to the German fans due to his prediction of a Spanish win.
So how does he know? Well, the staff at Sea Life lower 2 identically sized boxes of food into his tank..the only difference being the contents of the boxes have a German flag and one of their opponents. The box he opens first is thought to be his predicted winner.
He correctly picked that coach Joachim Low's side would beat Ghana and Australia in the group stages, and amazed the world by predicting that in the knockout stages of the World Cup he tipped Germany to beat both England and Argentina. Unfortunately he drew drew cries of despair from visitors on Tuesday when, after initially lingering over the box for the German flag, he plumped for the Spanish flag instead.
I wonder if he can predict lottery results!!
