Miguel Vargas, Leader of the PRD party has reiterated his plan to introduce new laws that propose “a national pact for change that aims to recruit other political forces, social movements and national personalities who agree that the country urgently yearns for a new form of governing. It’s not only a change of government, but a change of attitude, a change in the exercise of a government to benefit the Dominican people."
This comes just two days after Leonel's self appointed "Dominican Anti-Corruption Alliance" asked the President to consider changing the same law that keeps tabs on Senior Government Aids wealth.
Vargas added “Here we have very good laws, such as the Contracting and Purchasing Law, and others which the Government obviously ignores, because it doesn’t respond to the common good."
