Political parties go all out with just 4 days to go
With just four days from the congressional and municipal elections, all the political parties in the DR have been out and about with all guns blazing in order to get the many undecided voters to take sides with them.This weekend just past, President Leonel Fernandez, with his PLD, travelled Pedernales, the municipalities of Vicente Noble, Tamayo, Galvan, Neyba, Jimani, Duverge and Cabral, and the provinces of Barahona, Bahoruco, and Independencia. They also took their "caravana" through Barahona, Azua and Bani, where they met thousands of supporters up close and personally.
The nearest competetion to the PLD, the PRD headed by Miguel Vargas Maldonado were out and about in the Santo Domingo communities of San Isidro, el Bonito and the National District among others.
Some good news for voters and the public in general is that the Dominican Corporation of State owned Electricity Enterprises (CDEEE) has reported that in the period May 15th at 0600hrs until May 17th in the morning, the entire country will have un-interrupted electricity.
