As you might have gathered from most of the news recently coming from Brazil based industries President Leonel Fernandez is very interested in a strategic trade alliance between the Dominican Republic and Brazil.. 

He is looking to take full advantage of the Free Trade Agreement between his county, Central America and the United States. 

President Fernandez made the proposal in a meeting with members from the Sao Paulo Industrialists Federation, he said that the Dominican Republic and Brazil have been joined by historical as well as cultural ties, with greater possibilities of development now open.
