Yesterday, some 60 enthusiastic golfers met at Playa Dorada Golf Club in Puerta Plata to support both "Sosua Kids" and the "Friends of the Animals Foundation".
On what was a great day for playing golf, the 4 man 'Texas Scramble Competition' was won by a team with a score of -12. (12 under par)!
A raffle and auction took place after the event, raising nearly $10,000 USD!
Later in the day a sponsored "Head Shave" by Peter Rendik in 'The Jolly Roger' bar raised over $300.00 USD for a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients.
