Fuel prices rose again, marking the tenth price increase in the last eleven weeks. This time it is being attributed to a decrease in U.S. oil reserves brought on by tensions with Iran over their controversial nuclear program.

Premium gasoline rose by RD$1.90 to RD$153.10 per gallon and regular gasoline went up by RD$1.80 and is now being sold for RD$139.50 per gallon. Minor relief was felt in the price of diesel fuel which went down by RD$0.20 to RD$105.00 per gallon. Also seeing a small decrease was propane which drop by RD$0.31. Subsidized LPG now sells for RD$46.53 and non-subsidized is now RD$68.29.
