New resort "Amber Dune Resort & Spa" announced for Cabarete
Cabarete - The Spectrum Hospitality Group has the construction of "Amber Dune Resort & Spa", a luxury vacation retreat where it plans to invest more than US$60 million.Designed by Lane Pettigrew LPA, an architectural firm with extensive experience in resort real estate development in the Caribbean, this project will be built in an area of 20 acres overlooking the sea. In addition, the resort and spa will be offer 250 rooms and 200 luxury apartments and high quality buildings spread over three levels. Each apartment will have its own pool.
The prices of the apartments will range from US$200,000 for studios of 80sq meters, and $850, 000 for three bedroom apartments with 257sq meters.
The resort is to be completed in 4 phases, the first will be for the central area of the hotel, which will span the pool, restaurants, markets, spa, all services and apartments. This phase is expected to be ready in 2012 with the 4th phase due to be complete in 2014.
In addition to the impetus given to the north coast and to Puerto Plata, the project is expected to create 400 jobs and all raw materials will be locally produced and not imported.
