More British flights to PUJ
The UK´s largest Tour Operator, Thomson, has announced that they are adding another flight from Glasgow to the Dominican Republic. The new flight will be from Glasgow to Punta Cana and is expected to operate until mid September. The charter business from Glasgow is usually quite high during the summer months (May-Oct) and with the addition of this new flight will increase the operators capacity to Punta Cana.
Thomson already flies from Glasgow to Puerto Plata each Sunday as does it´s closest competitor, Thomas Cook, on a Tuesday. Along with Glasgow, both operators have weekly flights into both Puerto Plata and Punta Cana from London Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham and Thomson have a large cruise program into La Romana during the winter months where you can see at any one time, upto 7 of their aircraft on the tarmac on a Sunday afternoon during the winter months!
