Dominican Republic President Leonel Fernandez will host a meeting of the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (FUNGLODE) panel this Monday, 18th October at the FUNGLODE auditorium in Punta Cana and the group will discuss the latest events in the Middle East conflict.
Dignitaries included in the meeting will include: Israel interim Ambassador in the Dominican Republic, Yair Recanati, Palestine Ambassador in Dominican Republic Riyadh H. Mansour, Jordan Ambassador before the United Nations Prince Zeid Ra'ad Zeid Al-Hussein, France Ambassador in Dominican Republic Roland Dubertrand and a representative of the United States Embassy in the country, said FUNGLODE in a statement.
President Leonel Fernandez who is also the FUNGLODE honorary President was quoted as saying “We live in the globalization era and any event that occurs anywhere in the world affects us, especially if it occurs in the Middle East. Peace or war in that zone affects the world and therefore, our country,”
