Dominican president Leonel Fernandez and former leader Hipolito both support the office of Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa with the President offering "all his support to the legitimate government of his Ecuadorian equal Rafael Correa" after the attempt by that country’s police sectors to destabilize the democratic system.
“It’s necessary to respect the State of Law and the legality of the government elected by the Ecuadorian people and to reaffirm the non-deliberative character of the military and police agencies," Fernandez said.
