The Stunning Jack Nicklaus Las Iguanas Golf Course at Cap CanaThe stupendous Jack Nicklaus signature golf course in Cap Cana is due to be completed by the end of October 2008, the project has been seen as one of the most ambitious residential projects to ever have been undertaken in the whole of the Caribbean Island chain. The golfing project alone is a $1.5 billion deal and calls itself “the World’s Next Great Destination”.  Las Iguanas golf course is an integral part of the developers first phase with Frontier Golf supervising its construction.  Frontier Golf in order to execute Jack Nicklaus’s plans for his course has joined forces with a whole host of international professionals including club operator Troon Golf.

Jack Nicklaus made his first site visit last November and construction of Las Iguanas is already 25% complete putting them well on “course” for their completion date.  Jack Nicklaus inspected all 18 holes, he also set the design strategy and provided detailed sketches for six putting surfaces and surrounds.

Frontier Golf have a heavy work schedule and are looking to complete the course part of construction by November 2008, this phase alone carry’s an estimated cost of $40 million and Frontier Golf are getting ready to move almost one million cubic meters of rock of which 35% has already been unearthed since last June.

Part of Cap Cana’s whole development includes a state of the art Marina which will be surrounded by luxury residencies comprising four bedrooms, living room, family room, fully equipped kitchen, terrace and swimming level, utility and laundry area, interior elevator, two covered parking spaces, one parking area for golf cart, common green area and access to Cap Cana’s Marina pier!
