International Labour Day officially falls on Tuesday May 1 but will be celebrated here on Monday May 30.

Due to the fact that Monday will be a holiday, Interior and Police Minister Franklin Almeyda announced the temporary lifting of normal alcohol restrictions for Sunday May 29. The restrictions have been in place since July 28, 2006 and that this exception to the decree controlling the allowable times for selling alcohol is allowable under section 316-06.

The Real DR wishes everyone a happy Labour Day holiday!
