On a similar note, American Airlines have announced their regular Christmas services from the US to the DR. This year, the airline are adding a 777-200 (The largest in their fleet) to their JFK-SDQ route in addition to the flights already programmed. This will enable more Dominicans to travel back to their home country for the holidays and to be with their families and along with the regular customs rules slightly relaxed, should make a festive time for all.

...as we reported last week, there were rumors that Virgin Atlantic could be flying to Puerto Plata...Well, it has now been confirmed. Tourism Minister - Francisco Javier Garcia, confirmed the news at the end of the World Travel Market in London.
The flights will be operated through Virgin Holidays and operated with Virgin aircraft and are due to commence in time for the Winter 2009-2010 season
