It's Official, Christmas has Started in the Dom Rep!

Christmas lights at the National Palace,Santo Domingo,Dominican RepublicPresident of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernandez,  turned on the Christmas lights last night outside the National Palace and sent out a message of "Peace, Harmony and Prosperity". He wishes that 2008 "allows each Dominican, each man and woman of this country, to continue advancing in the crystallization of their aspirations and their dreams".  He was accompanied by his wife Margarita and their daughter Yolanda America.
