WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange has been arrested in London on sexual assault charges brought by Swedish authorities over an incident that relates back to August this year.
Mr. Assange of Australian origin voluntarily went to a police station in central London this morning. He has been in the press lately after his "whistle blowing" website released millions of confidential and classified documents from both the ongoing war in Afghanistan and Iraq plus United States Cables between Diplomats that brings embarrassment to the President and other high ranking officials in Washington.
Mr. Assange is expected to appear before City of Westminster magistrates within the next few hours so a decision can be made about whether the warrant is appropriate for extradition.
