IMF agrees $779M for Dominican Republic before the Year End

hector_valdez_albizu_Central Bank Governor Héctor Valdez today confirmed the International Monetry Fund has approved the Letter of Intent that covers the second and third review of the Stand-by Arrangement signed last November. The Dominican Republic will recive $158M immediately in Special Drawing Rights followed by $779M later in the year.

Mr Valdez also confirmed he expected the Dominican economy to have grown by 7% come year end.
