After over a week of monitoring Tomas, watching the reports from NOAA and other weather stations, the end of Tomas seems to be near.
Located 30 miles north of Grand Turk Island, still producing winds of 70mph, Tomas is moving to the northeast at 15mph and is expected to become a remnant low by Tuesday morning.
A Tropical Storm Watch is still in place for the North Coast of Hispaniola from the Haitian Border to Puerto Plata; however, this is predicted to be removed in a few hours.
One or two inches of rain are still forecast for Hispaniola over the next 24 hours, should conditions change, additional reports will appear here.
