The Cuu Long JSC Petro Gas Transportation Service company in Ho Chi Minh City is fortunate after an employee left the equivalent of US$26,500 in a local taxi.

The passenger called the taxi company after he realised his mistake leaving his bag on the back seat of the cab and a radio broadcast was immediately transmitted. The cab driver heard the broadcast and returned the bag back to the rightful owners without even opening it! Apart from the large sum of cash in 3 different currencies, the bag also contained important business documents.

The cab driver was rewarded for his honesty with the equivalent of US$100 which in Vietnam is quite significant bearing in mind the average monthly wage is US$80.
