Haitian President Rene Preval will start a two day visit leading up to the Summit of Heads of State on Drugs, Security and Cooperation to be held Friday by meeting with representatives of the tourism sector in Punta Cana on Wednesday. He will visit tourist regions of Bavaro, Punta Cana and Casa de Campo.
His agenda includes meeting with a group of tourism investors on Wednesday evening at a dinner held by Chancellor Carlos Morales. Thursday he will visit San Pedro de Marcoris to sign agreements of exchange between Dominican and Haitian universities and tour an electricity plant. He will also be received in Congress by presidents of the Senate and Lower House, Reynaldo Pared and Julio Cesar Valentin, respectively.
The week will end by attending the summit on Friday with Heads of State from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines all taking part.
