Today represents the anniversary of the devastating earthquake that hit our neighbors in Haiti last year. Thousands lost their lives, over a million displaced, cholera outbreaks and a Presidential Election that mirrors corruption shown in the depths of Africa. So, what has Haiti got going for it? Well, no-one can imagine quite the devastation Haiti endured, but charity and fund raising activist are more optimistic.

Their plan wasn't a one year quick fix - it was a fifteen year project that will give future generations of Haitians an equal chance to compete for jobs, education, health and wealth. Even before the earthquake Haiti was the poorest country in the western hemisphere. Over 100 countries have donated to the plight endured by millions of Haitians. Let's hope one day Haiti recovers from this catastrophe that happened on January 12, 2010

We shall never forget.
